I first met Catherine and Josh back in August on a pretty freezing cold winters day! It had been raining on and off all day and we were lucky that the weather cleared long enough for us to have their session. They did so well to shake off the cold!

I also got to meet their beautiful dog, Shadow, who I was so sorry to hear had sadly passed away when I caught up with Catherine and Josh again last week.

We caught up for a lifestyle session in their new home to capture some precious moments of baby Hunter, who is 3 months old now (Hunter was born on my birthday! how cool is that)

Hunter is one handsome wee man and was so good throughout the session! They have also just moved into their new family home so it was perfect timing for an in-home lifestyle session!

A couple of weeks ago I drove down to Ashburton to meet our lucky competition winner, Lanelle and her beautiful kids!

It was such a warm night and the kids had so much fun running around and playing on the playground that was near by.

We managed to in sneak a few "formal" family photo's in-between a couple of games and chasing wee Ollie around =)

Family Session's are my all time favourite to shoot, I love leaving a session knowing that I have captured something really special that will be cherished by all the members in your family as the years go by - plus they are so much fun!!!

Over the last couple of months I have been lucky enough to take Maternity and Newborn photo's for Lesley and Ra.

Their house is filled with so much love which I sensed as soon as I walked in.

I thought the best people to tell their story is them, so Lesley has written a couple of paragraphs about their life with baby Ryan.

"The moment Ryan was born we both feel in love with him. People talk about the love you feel for this wee baby you have carried around for nine months. But no one can prepare you for the rush of extreme love that you feel when you hold your baby in your arms for the first time.

Adjusting to parenthood has been a bit tougher than we thought; the sleepless nights, the endless washing, the constant feeding and changing. But it’s the best job in the world. Our dogs and cats just love their baby brother, Pippin the chihuahua will not leave Ryan’s side! Life has changed forever, but in a magical way."

I meet with the Stoddard family on a beautiful spring evening at the Botanic Gardens in Christchurch for their Family Session.

We had a stroll around (even spotted a few ducklings) until we found a nice spot in the shade where we played some games and took some photo's.

I had so much fun with these guys and love how all of their photo's came out!

Baby Harper at just 7 days old and 9lbs of absolute cuteness! It was so easy to tell how smitten and in love mum and dad are!

It was so nice to catch up again Kristyl, and thank you for inviting me into your home to capture these precious memories!

It is so cool being able to watch and document babies grow! What an awesome job I have!!

This week I got to catch up with Leila again, 3 months on from when I first met her!

She is such a character and soooooooooo cute! Specially in her gorgeous wee romper Cassy was given for her.

I can't wait to catch up with you guys again soon!

Yesterday I drove down to Ashburton from Christchurch to catch up with Jess and her beautiful daughter Eliza, who is now 12 weeks old!

I first met Eliza when she was just 9 days old, it really is amazing how fast they grow!

I was so happy to arrive home from The Baby Summit to find I had packages waiting for me (because who doesn't love online shopping right!)

I had been waiting for these to arrive for a couple of weeks, so I couldn't wait to open them up!

I am so happy with it all!

In the weekend, I got to enjoy a beautiful winters afternoon in the Christchurch Botanical Gardens with the Mill's family for their Family Photography session. We had such a nice, relaxing walk while the boys were busy exploring and running around. It was great watching them in their element and being able to capture them just being themselves. These boys are great friends!

I've often heard people say that if they had to leave their house immediately, one of the first things they would grab, would be their photo albums. And I don't blame them! They are so much more than pictures on pieces of paper. Photo's are a snapshots of our lives, our most treasured memories with such sentimental value that you would be very upset to loose them, I definitely would be! It's so easy today to just upload our photos to the internet and forget about them, I know because I've been guilty of this for the last couple of years. Our naked walls are crying out for some beautiful photo's!

So last week I sent for my first print order from a professional print lab and WOW! I was not disappointed! The quality of these prints is amazing, and I didn't have any nasty surprises of funky crops that you sometimes get from your average place, I got exactly what I ordered.

I want you to have the best quality possible which is why I have included professional prints in all of my packages! There is nothing quite like being able to hold your beautiful images and see them on your walls everyday, instead of them just getting lost in the land of the internet. Sure Facebook might give you the memory to look back on once a year but that's nothing compared to seeing them everyday, hanging proudly on your walls.
